Huskers vs. Michigan State

The No. 2 Huskers defeated Michigan State in three sets (25-11, 25-18, 25-23). Gina Mancuso led the Huskers with 13 kills on 26 attacks. In the first set the Huskers came out early and took the lead. They were was never a point in the set that Michigan was ahead, they just could never catch up. In the second set the Huskers went out strong again, but there close to the end Michigan had a five point run, but Huskers won the set, making it 2 games to none. In the third set the Huskers took an early lead, but Michigan came back and tied it. Michigan was on top 16-11 over Nebraska. The Huskers had a five point run which tied it at 16 all. The Huskers were down 20-18, when the huskers came back and was tied at 22 all. Finally, the Huskers ended the match 25-23.

The Huskers played a really game against Michigan State. I was really nervous to see how they would play since their starting setter had to sit out. In case you are all wondering what happened to Lauren, she pretty much did a hit and run. She was also on a suspended license, which doesn't make the situation any better. She is scheduled for court sometime soon, and we will find out more from what happens with court. I thought it was really cool, because they have a senior setter that doesn't ever play. It was cool that she finally got to play some.

Cool to see that even with out their star player they can still win the game

Sounds like the Huskers play big late in games and find ways to win.

Sounds like they were getting a little tired at the end, but I'm glad they were still able to make the win. It's also nice that a senior got to play who doesn't normally, though the circumstances were pretty bad. Any idea the condition of the people who were hit?
